| Hi, I'm Andy, I live in Bangor North Wales, and I work as an Office & Maintenance Manager (aka General Dogsbody!) at a local mental health centre. I've had my Silverwing for a couple of weeks now. This is my wing and me. So far, I love my new bike. Only gripe I have with it is the wind buffeting from around the screen. Scares the heck out of me on the highway. I am 5' 10", and didn't think it would be so bad, so I'm on the hunt for a better screen. I'm very happy to be a new member and grateful that there is such a comprehensive forum as this available, as I know I'll have some questions that need answering. |

| Hi Javel, thanks for that. If the adjustable Givi is the popular choice then that's the one I will go for too. It is a reasonable price even in the UK, not cheap but not too costly either.
Most of my riding is around 50 - 60 mph, and it is quite windy here in Wales most of the time, so I need protection from that, coupled with stability. Plus I want to keep as much of the buffeting off my wife too, who will be pillion on days out. |

| Yes, Andy: buy the Givi adjustable screen. I was very worried by the buffeting from the original screen when I bought my first Silverwing in very flat, very windy West Flanders (Belgium). I replaced it with the Givi which turned a super bike into a superb bike. |

| Welcome, Andy. You've found the greatest place to hang out if you are a SWing owner. My 2007 has a short GIVI on it and I was getting quite a bit of wind noise and buffeting. I got a Chinese copy of the Wunderlich wind deflector off EBay, and it works great. I am still in the process of getting the optimal adjustment on it, but it is already a good-value-for-money purchase. Jay. |

| Hi Andy, I'm not too far from you in North Lancashire and keep promising myself a run to Wales. I've fitted a Givi 214 Airflow adjustable screen and, like others on here, found it very good. If you ever come up this way, give us a shout. Of course, ANY Silver Wing should be SILVER! |

Hi Andy, another place I will have to stay away from, you would get me sectioned. Regards Dave |

| Guys, I should add that I am a retired Mental Health Nurse. Trained in St Andrews Hospital in Northampton UK in the 70's. Been in Canada since 81, in the same field until medical issues forced my retirement. What does that say about MH staff looking for Wings? Jay. |

| Hi Andy, Welcome from Nova Scotia ! Fine looking Silverwing you have there. What year is it? I visited Chester in Wales back in 1994 with some friends. We walked the wall and toured town finding a really nice pub on the main street. Is Bangor handy to Chester?
I went to the standard Givi screen and this has eliminated most wind issues --- other than side winds. Mine is a 2005 with 21,000kms om it now. Mike |

| I had to look it up, but Chester is in fact in England. Bangor is on the West coast main land before you go over to Anglesea. |
