Seems to be normal....but not on all rubber band drive scooters----my present, 2013 leftover, now 45,000 miles has done it all its life, at 40mph, now on 3rd or 4th OEM belt. My first Helix (1990) called Fusion in Japan did it after long highway run....big noise. My first new
SilverWing (2009) had rear clutch chatter its whole 45,000 mile life with me----regardless of fixes/cleaning
Now after 9 maxi-scooter and 400,000 miles just normal. Even with first Helix, I realized the belt is the weakest link.
And now asking drive line, in your case, with trike, doing what it was never designed to do.
Belt breakage with solo SilverWing is not common, sticking to OEM belts and Honda recommended change intervals----In all my rubber band drive miles, only one broken belt Helix---- butnew Burgman 400 at 20,000 miles----complete rear clutch came apart, eating everything in its path, including belt. I like riding under warranty.
I always carry spare belt
Suzuki warranty paid for parts and repairs.
My Daelm 125 scooter in Korea, never had belt issues in spite of hard use...open road or city traffic....nor did Vespa Chao when I lived in Italy.
