| Deglazed the clutch and fitted 25g sliders yesterday and put the bike back together today. Just been out for quick blatt and all I can say is ... very nice :-) Its pulling like a 600 should now. No vibration on set off, scampers up hills, seems smoother all round. Money and time well spent. |

| where did you get the sliders and how much were they ? mine is due a belt (well due one 5000 miles ago!) and probably rollers or sliders, gonna try going for heavier weight to reduce revs/improve economy. |

| I bought them direct from the Dr Pulley shop in Germany via their website. I bought the sliders and sliding pieces so that the whole of that end of the drive train is refreshed. |

| When I fitted mine the sliding pieces needed the slots filing a little wider to be able to slide freely.. Did yours fit or did they need adjusting? |

| I also bought my 25g sliders from the Dr. Pulley website. I already had some new Honda sliding pieces and used them.
At the same time, I fitted a Gates drivebelt (around £85 off ebay?) which I would recommend.
I've used Gates belts on various vehicles with no problems at all. The Gates belt looks a little different to the Honda OEM but after a hundred miles of bedding in, I'm loving the smoothness and extra pick-up my set up gives. Motorway rpm's are down a few hundred when cruising.
Because I fitted various items at the same time, I cannot definitively say which performed best, but I'm very happy with the result after a few hundred miles now. |

| Sliding pieces were a tight fit onto the back plate but are working fine. |

Bill, I don't think that the Gates belt is available in North America. If it is I sure would appreciate someone sharing the source info. Meanwhile I've found that the best price for an OEM Honda belt is from Partzilla. I'd be uneasy using anything less than a Honda belt given the high speed, long distance riding I favor. Tim |

Here is a link to Buggy Parts North West's web page for Dr Pulley Sliding weights. https://www.buggypartsnw.com/index.php/dr-pulley-products/dr-pulley-slider-weights/400cc-and-higher/dr-pulley-slider-weight-28x20-for-600cc.html They are available from 28gm down to 21gm. 24gm Sliders will give you pretty damn impressive accelleration. | did the 24g sliders for 2 days did not like the power of the bike , fills a lot better with the 31g and 21g mix so put back the 21g and 31g and I think for me this is the best fill on this bike. I did have one concern , when I put my aluminum or pot metal cover back on it was hard going on this time ? nothing in the way but felt like something was out of alignment ? has anyone felt this putting cover back on. thanks Bill |

Could possibly the Driven Pulley trying to fit into the belt case bearing. The O-rings on that outer section do need a thin wipe of grease. You'll know more the next time to try to remove the belt case. If one of those thin O-rings is pinched then the base is going to be difficult to seperate. So maybe you might want to have those O-rings on hand for the next time.mthey're cheap enough. Tim |

| Only two O-rings required. Partzilla.com is a reliable source for discount OEM Honda parts. But unless you are also ordering other items (brake pads, belt, etc) then the shipping charges might be discouraging. If all you need are those two O-rings than you might order them from your local Honda dealer. Local?...Kansas? Yeah, I get it.

| 91353-MCT-003, O-Ring (36.5 x 1.0). You'll need two. Partzilla's price is ~$1.62 ea. YMMV |

If you are referring to item #6 in this illustration: http://www.partzilla.com/parts/search/Honda/Scooter/2009/FSC600D+AC/DRIVEN+FACE/parts.html, that would be for 1 each, set of 5 clutch weights (pads). |

Yes, probably more than those 97,200 miles given that I ran a Darkside Sumitomo tire for 40,000 of those miles --and there was a 5-6% odometer error with that larger tire. I really wanted to top 100,000 miles but fate, in the form of an oil slick on a turn, intervened. The up side was that I 'won' the opportunity to up grade to a 2009 gratis of the offending oil slicker's insurance company. |

| so it wasn't that the bike gave up it was in a wreck to the fault of oil in the road. |
