Second or third week of June I want to ride the James Bay Road....Anyone want to go along?? I ridden it before, BMW K-75, all pavement, this time Honda CB300F.
I try to keep my total daily costs to $100 a day or less, all costs except machine wear.
Only thing special, for most machines extra gas must be carried in can to get to gas stop. Tire repair kit and pump, tool, spare belt for SilverWing. Bug spray.
Do not plan to sleep outside, but I carry sleeping bag and bivy sack.
You need proper riding clothes....I move forward in all weathers.
Road can be ridden one way in one day---stay at Radisson, turn around and go back, really not much special to see.
My tempo is normally about 300 miles a day---can do road in one day---I do not ride real fast, stop to pee a lot (age), eat at regular times, do not hurry. In US Motel 6 and McDonalds (avoids the runs)
Passport required for Canada, my case dog vacination.
Any takers? Meet up place can be determined---Saint Ste Mich good as motels are fairly cheap there. My experience in Canada as opposed to US, it can be a little more expensive.
I guess point is this road about as far north as you can ride in North America, staying out of mud!
Time: for Mich. meeting place=2 days up and 2 days back. From TN to get to Mich, I take 2-3 days.
