| Yes. The Honda Factory Service Manual (FSM) says that you use the same oil as you'd put in your engine. So I'd interpret that to mean, if it's a good quality motor oil then, yes, you can use it in the final drive.

| There is no wet clutch on these machines so you can use automotive oil if you like. Does not have to be motorcycle specific oil. Crankcase takes appx 2.5 qts and final drive about a pint or less. So buy 3 quarts and do both jobs at the same time. That is what I do. Good luck. |
