| still think it is best to support local Honda Dealer---never know when you may need him, and to do this he needs to stay in business----seems only long time, everyday riders understand this. To me, as high miles rider, drive belts are big expense--for me one season (year) replaced drive belt on SilverWing....but never walked, followed Honda intervals.

| I'm always afraid that the in-stock inventory is aged at the dealership, especially when purchasing wear items for a bike that is no longer manufactured. Other than my first Swing, I have not seen another Swing on Oahu. The dealer would have to order items from the same merchants I would order from and charge me a fee. |

| I would think he would order from Honda----my experience with Honda parts---fresh stuff is shipped. |

| Earlier post---drive belt---should have said, "one season (year) I replaced drive belt 3 (three) times" using Honda intervals and OEM belts=not cheap, but I never walked!

| I don't know if Gates belts are available over the pond, but I've been using one for a few thousand miles now with no problems... cheaper too. It felt better than the old Honda belt, but maybe that's common when replacing OEM belts also? |

| I usually like to support my local Honda dealer, however for some reason this time he couldn't compete price wise on a drive belt at $143. Instead I supported a Honda dealer in Texas through Ebay on a OEM at $103.00, free shipping. Just couldn't justify slapping down $40 extra hard earned dollars. |
