Philly Trip

It has been awhile since I tried posting a picture.  This was taken on July 3rd at Valley Forge, PA. Bob and I met up with Tim/Cosmic Jumper for a short visit. It was good seeing him again.  We met the first time at the 2016 Maxi- Scoot Rally in VA.  

Bob and I left Chicago on June 30th in the god awful heat.  We rode to Philly for my nephew’s wedding on the 6th.  Note: Our daughter’s brought our wedding clothes. They drove.  We overnighted in Cambridge, OH, Altoona, PA and Lancaster, PA.  Stayed in Trevose, PA for four nights near the wedding.  It was hot all week.  We saw trains, Valley Forge, a number of Philly sites. We had a Great time at the wedding.  

Morning after we headed to VA and stayed with a friend a couple of nights.  Those three days were the best weather and some great roads for riding.  Skyline Drive in Shanedoah NP, many state and US Hwys.  We rode US 250 trough  VA and WV.  Fantastic road.   PA had some great roads also once we got of the interstate.  On the 10th we got home.  The last day back to interstate and the awful heat again.  2500 miles in all.  

Had to replace my rear tire in Philly.  And Bob is in the middle of changing my Steering head bearings. This will be my 3rd set.  I have over 77,000 miles on my Swing.  Thanks to Tim’s knowlege of doing his steering bearings and the help of this forum Bob didn’t have to hard of a time.

Sounds like a great trip, Cathy, except for the heat. I have done a few of those and thanked God for a water cooled scoot and a "cool" vest!!!

Nice photos. July 4th week was very hot and humid. Record HOT.
PA does have great roads and scenery but some roads are not the smoothest.

Best rides are not always the easiest but its worth it. Memories last forever.
