Hey, Steve , Welcome. Toasty here regardless of what it's doing outside. We hope to learn from your experience as well. Looks like you have quite the stable and clinic at your place.

Jay.

Welcome, Steve. With your experience, I would be interested in your comparison of the 750 DCT and your Silverwing. The new 750 DCT has finally arrived here in the US. While the DCT is a fine bike, I see a few differences with the Silverwing that maybe you can add to.
Possible Negatives:
DCT: Chain drive, no center stand, higher seat, less wind protection (smaller screen and fairing), rear seat up to access fuel cap, less storage and touring space, less comfortable seat, Also I read a complaint about jerky auto shifting in the older 700 DCTs. Overall comfort. Fun factor?

Possible Positives:
Amazing gas mileage, larger tires, easier wheel on and off for tire replacement, longer tire life, approximately 50 pounds lighter, slightly more horsepower, though the Swing is not lacking much there. Fun factor?

Well they are both fun,but the DCT is more fun .I have a centre stand fitted plus an E Scotoiler, economy is good, can't comment o tyre life as I haven't had either bike long enough .The fuel cap under pillion seat wasn't a problem until I wanted to go away for a few days and realised if I attached my luggage over the seat I would have to unload to fuel up ,so took scooter instead .Swing is much more comfortable for sure .Don't find DCT jerky .

DCT more fun! Wow, you are twisting my arm. Our local dealer has one new 750 DCT available. Lead me not into temptation. Great info. Thanks. I was hoping you had few complaints about the DCT.

Your center stand and Scottoiler additions are smart moves.
