| On my way home tonight in the rain my ‘FI’ light came on, red, when I stopped it flashed 8 times. When I rode off it came on solid. Flashes 8 times when stationary. Any clues to what this means? Thanks in advance Cheers

| I've give you a clue, 8 flashes on the FI warning light more than likely denotes a loose or poor contact on the TP (Throttle Position) sensor, it could be an open or short circuit in the TP sensor, or maybe a faulty TP sensor. If you want to tinker and fettle this fault I'd advise you to buy a paper Factory Service Manual or get a free download somewhere off the internet. There's a big section and loads of diagrams in the big book, and of course Honda has the copyright and probably won't like loads of technical info displayed on here. Heaven forbid we don't want site owner JeffR doing time in San Quentin for allowing copyright infringement. |
