| I have a question on early fjs600 thats the type with rear mounted regulator there are three yellow two red and two green wires on the later front mounted regulators there are the same but with an extra black and grey wire question is can the later type regulator be fitted to an early swing has anyone done it what is the black/grey for ? Had a look in my w shop manual but it does not show this wire in the diagram must be early manual (2001) |

| The Singapore Silver Wing forum Tech Corner has a wire diagram showing that Bl wire going to Ign/Fuel pump/Start fuse (fuse E), the Engine Stop Relay, and the Bank Angle Sensor.
Given that most R/R wiring is the same (YYY, RR, GG, & ___). Where Y is from the Stator, R is battery +, and G is frame ground. Why shouldn’t your Bl/Gr wire be the same as the Bl wire on the diagram?

Refer back to that “Regulator rectifier upgrade” discussion for some good info about R/R wiring. |

| Ok i did that and you can just about see the wire in question going to the E fuse then the ign stop relay and on to the bank angle sensor so i can only assume that as these items are on the early scoot a wire linking all three must come from elsewhere and not the regulator as on later scoots, any ideas on this folks. Oh wiring diagram is for the 400 but its probably the same as the 600 |

| Have you kept an owners manual from any later model bikes you've broken ? If so there is a folded up wiring diagram on the last pages which will show UK 600cc wiring
If note I believe you can download owners manual direct from Honda |

| So what was the resolution then? Did/how you adapt the late model R/R to fit your 2001 application?
