| It's the end of the world if internet crashes for many who have never lived without it. All is lost. Couch is starting to get nice my hard working body is feeling so much better. I've got a nice bit of woods up behind my place time to take a walk and enjoy the Spring weather a little.

| Anyone else getting more than normal amounts of emails from motorcycle clothing and accessories sellers now that the stores have closed, offering all sorts of discounts, vouchers, and other incentives to buy online from them.
I'm getting daily emails from sellers in the UK, US, France, and Germany, which I usually don't mind as I've bought replacement gear online from Germany and the UK over the last few months.
One UK company now seems to be losing the plot, sending out daily helmet and clothing videos in the style of Anthony Bucci of Revzilla, although without his easy charm.
Obviously they're a business and need orders to keep afloat, but I don't think having the latest Arai helmet or Gore-tex adventure jacket is much of a priority for anyone while we're on lockdown. Then if you're a casualty of Coronavirus it was a waste of time buying it anyway.

"Has coronavirus affected your income" Do not worry, we will buy & collect your scooter or motorbike today. Needless to say it has caused a bit of an outcry in the scooter community. |

| My worry is that the longer this keeps up the more "mom and pop" businesses we will lose... Most of the big chains will survive due to deep pockets. Home Depot and other big box stores and most of the big restaurants will be OK. Fast food will flourish due to drive up windows etc. and the fact that few of the young people can cook! |

| It won't be long before we will need permission to go out side here, EVERYTHING is getting shut down from mom & pops to Honda and Kenworth. Restaurants without drive up windows have signs carryout and we deliver and yes it's the little guy that suffers. Our region relies on tourism a LOT, you can walk in a park but don't plan on going inside a public facility as they are locked up, even private lodges and cabins are shut down. Hopefully we will be on the right side of the bell curve before long. |

| Mrs M had to pull the plug our long planned holiday to Australia. We were due to go last week with a few days stay in Dubai on the outward journey Then after time in Sydney and touring the Eastern States, a week with family in Perth in Western Australia, and a stay in Singapore on the way back.
As the Coronavirus pandemic got worse it was only a matter of time before countries stopped flights, and even if we'd got to Australia we'd have had to spend two weeks self-isolating in a hotel, and again in Singapore on the way back. |

That will be my MO once it dries out a bit. No it isn't, your MO is to help prevent the the spread of Coronavirus. You and scofflaw boy are no different to the population of every other country affected by Covid-19 That is stay at home unless you're an essential worker, need food essentials, pick up meds from a pharmacy, or for a short walk or other form of exercise around your home area. Anyway worst case scenario, as your medical services and hospitals become overwhelmed in the coming weeks, they aren't going to waste valuable resources and a ventilator on a 70 plus old bloke. Especially one who might not have been infected if he'd stayed home in the first place, except for food, meds, and a bit of exercise. |

| Meldrew no while I could have an accident while riding I could as well fall down the stairs, as far as contact I leave the house with a full tank ride for a hour and come home interacting with no one. ALL our state parks are closed EXCEPT for the use of the grounds and the last time I went through the area there were markedly few vehicles. While I don't understand some of their rules such as stay 6 feet apart while encouraging getting out and walking hiking fishing an yet haven't just closed the parks to everything altogether. Travel isn't banned one can leave and enter the state by the means they chose including the semis bringing in the food gasoline and other supplies. Think how many others have touched what we are buying in any store. And last but not least yes my wife did fall, she couldn't get up and I couldn't get her up, I didn't call 911 I got my neighbor and together we managed, fortunately she wasn't seriously hurt. We have had good fortune so far with no cases in our area, a few in the nearby counties. Now here is a real kick in the arse, last night on the news stating if you are 60 or older you shouldn't go to the grocery store, have someone go for you, WHO? even if you take advantage of the call and fill go pick up the order WHO is going to touch EVERYTHING you bring into your home. No Meldrew while I will limit contact I will wash my hands keep the distance wear my mask and use my gloves and get food, just hope that others do the same. |

Some of you may remember in February I posted about the loss of my freind (known as Foxy on here), his symptoms were exactly the same as what this virus does even down to having a tracheostomy, not one DR could work out what he had or died of and just put it down to pneumonia !!. This this is so scary, take care everyone and DONT GO OUT. |

Stay safe. I was ill from just after Christmas until the end of January. I had most of the symptoms and was so exhausted I had to leave the two CKD beds which were delivered on 2nd Jan in my hall for the whole month as I hadn't the strength carry them upstairs.

| Thanks, Kev. Because of the COPD (I assume) winters can be a bit grim for me, healthwise. I gave up having a flu jab because when I had one I was invariably ill three weeks later. I know some people have far worse things to deal with so I'm merely stating the facts. Curiously, since my trip down to Salisbury and my fantastic ride home, I have felt a great deal better. Sod's Law says I'll have a relapse but I'm enjoying the feeling. I sit at my PC hoping that all my friends here, on Facebook and the other forums I frequent are managing to maintain their equilibrium and that we will reach the light at the end of the tunnel in good spirits. |

| I got the flu VERY bad in 1992 and it led to complications that laid me up for a couple of months. Since 1993 I have always gotten a flu shot. Swear by them. Most years I do not get the flu and on the rare instances that I do catch it, my cases are generally much shorter than my friends.
This is just my two cents, if you don't want one then don't get one! |

| I've had a few flu jabs with since becoming eligible for one as an old git, and with mixed results. A few years ago I had one a couple of days before flying off to Singapore for a Far East and developed a heavy cold within a couple of days.
Other years I've had them either earlier or later with little or no effect, as I'd still pick up a cold over winter.
Last year I had a flu jab in early October and I'm pleasantly surprised that I’ve been fine and cold free over winter.
I've say colds because that's I always have the symptoms of, the common cold. I think that makes me unique in some ways because the blokes I worked with for many years, they never ever had a cold, it was always flu and good for a few days on the sick. |

I had an e-mail from my Internet provider that they have upped the amount of Gigabites for each customer at no extra charge. Again, it's a positive gesture, especially for those people having to work from home. |
