| Well I am going in the wrong direction! Bought this behemoth from a friend. He is moving to Florida and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. 14800 miles on it! I haven't even driven it, it is in Ely, NV so I will get it in a couple of weeks when we get up there for the summer. This does NOT mean the Silver Wing is going away! Won't happen but I never have a bike in Nevada so... Wish me luck! |

| I have a feeling you will enjoy that quite a bit, just on its own merit. If memory serves, I felt it was quicker off-line than its large Road-Star sibling. |

| That's a nice looking bike. A bit bigger than I would want at this time in my life tho. Have fun on it and just remember. You Do Have To Shift It... LOL

Yes a bit bigger! We shall see, plus I am no longer "shiftless", the Silver Wing is my first scooter so most of my life has been on clutch bikes so should not be a problem.

| Nice bike. I've been a Yamaha fan for many years. Last cruiser I owned was a 1999 Honda Magna 750 V4. Not a twin V4 liked to rev. it was the only way to make it really go. I still own a 2005 Yamaha FJR 1300 47K now and a great bike with few issues.
I've read that the oil filter is not easy to change on V-stars? Cartridge type and exhaust is in the way. Someone makes a filter relocation kit so you can use a screw on type and is much easier to change. FYI. |

I was pleasantly surprised when I got this bike that the oil filter relocation kit was installed; simply need a spin-on filter! |
