| Hi, I just bought a 2012 silver wing with a Danson trike kit on it. I didn’t believe the add that the mileage was 642 miles, but it was and so after a test ride I became the proud owner. I have been riding for 50 years having many bikes but only 3 scooters. I’m an old Triumph guy from the 60’s and 70’s. Then I went to Honda’s and Yamaha’s before getting a BMW and Can Am Spyder. I bought a Vespa during the Pandemic to fix up and sell before this Silver wing popped up. I had a Burgman 400 10 years ago, but this Silver wing has it all over the Burgman. I toyed with the air pressures on the tires and air shocks before settling on 25 ft bike tire and 30 rear. Trike tires are at 20 and air shocks at 10psi. Rides really well. Happy camper so far have a total of 724 mile on the machine. Look forward to learning about the intricacies of this bike as time moves on. I like to tinker, so I plan my own maintenance. Thanks Tom |

| Hi Tom and thanks for the great introduction and Welcome to the BEST SWing site on the net. I have an 08 SWing that I had converted to a trike about 3 years ago and really like it. It has a Motor Trike kit on it. |

| It always amazes why anyone would spend all that money, then a load more fitting the trike kit, only to ride a few miles and then store it for years. Still one man's loss is another man's gain. Congratulations, and time to make up the missing miles |

| I agree steve_h80. My wife did the MotoTrike conversion, rode it maybe 20 miles and then it sat in the garage, forgotten. Its being ridden by me till my Piaggio gets fixed under warranty.
Congrats on the killer find Zummy and welcome! |

| I sold one of my past SWs to a friend of my wife. She triked it several years ago, I don't remember which kit was used but she's still happy three wheeling around in Florida. It isn't something I'd do, for me it's either two wheels or four but there are several trikes in my area from a small 50cc Chinese one to a couple of Goldwing trikes. If it suits you go for it!
Dale, that's a real nice looking conversion. |
