Hello Again. I’ve just rejoined after a few years gap mainly due to the fact that I have been a carer for my mum and didn’t get out much. My 10year old, no 11year old Silverwing has been a bit of a garage queen in that time. I got the Silverwing in 2010 because I had a knackered hip and I couldn’t swing my leg over the BMW R1100GS I had anymore. Anyway mum died last year (9 days short of her 100th birthday) and now I find I have a bit of time to do what I want to, including getting my bike through its MOT test and getting about a bit. Oh the hip was replaced in 2012 and its been brilliant.

Welcome back, Tim.

Sad about your Ma but, like me when my Ma died at 86, it was a blessed release for both of us.

Glad the Silverwing is giving you some pleasure. Smile

Hi Tim, My mom passed away at 86 a few years ago. I didn't get to see her much before she passed as she lived in FL and me in MN. But I did call her a couple of days before she passed and we talked on the phone for about 3 hours. She knew her time was near, how she knew it is beyond me, but she knew. It was a good conversation and I got a lot off my chest and let her know just how much I love her and will miss her.
