Just purchased a 2004 Silverwing.  First bike was a VTX 1300 which I rode for a couple
years before swapping it in for a Goldwing.  After five years on two wheels i triked the Goldwing and kept it for five more years.  The trike was fun but sold it after the local Goldwing  chapter folded a couple years ago.

I'm hoping the Silverwing will be as much fun in my older years as the bigger bikes were in my younger days.

Looking forward to following this forum.

Welcome Johnlei to the BEST SWing forum on the net. Lots of info here with people ready and willing to help. The "Search" box at the top left is also your friend.
I think you'll find the SWing is a very capable bike. It will do Interstate speeds without breathing too hard.
I converted my SWing over to a trike a few years back and really like it. I lost a bit of mpg riding around in town but only 4-5 mpg on the highway No big deal seeing as it still gets better mileage than my pickup...
This is what my SWing looks like now. It's a Motor Trike kit and cost $8,000 total to make it, ship it and have the local qualified dealer install it. I also got all my old parts back. One other thing. It only has two wheels on the back and not three like some trike kits have. This makes it a true trike, I guess.

Welcome Johnlei! This is a great forum with lots of information. My Silver Wing has spoiled me, it is not the best handling or the fastest 2 wheeler but it is quiet and comfortable and is a superb one up touring bike! And like most Hondas it is nearly bulletproof!

Welcome aboard the board Johnlei.  I think the SWing will satisfy your "fun factor" need and it'll be easier to handle than the heavier GW.  Let us know how you find the transition to your new ride ....

Welcome on the site John,

You surely will enjoy your Swing like we all do... It's good in town or highway and the best of all, no clutch, ready to go all the time.

Michel
