Beautiful bike in a beautiful setting; the Derbyshire Hills/Peak District became the first National Park in England and is a wonderful part of the country, not least for great roads for riding. | I'm impressed with the build of that dry stone wall. It looks a different type of build to the dry stone walls in Cumbria and North Yorkshire. That layer of thin vertical cope stones on top of the wall to shed water is even more impressive.
I've been out riding in rural Cumbria on narrow undulating roads with dry stone walls on either side. If you're suddenly dazzled by summer or low winter sun and momentarily disorientated, it's both scary and dangerous. |
