| My name is John. My wife and I live In Hot Springs Village, Arkansas (Go Hogs!) I have had a couple bikes but was years ago. I have been a full-time Minister thru Music and now retired but still serve in a small church. My wife bought me a 2009 SW 600 for our anniversary on 9/6. I love it but having some starting issues. Great condition. Only 3600 miles. First day was great, started up, rode around block several times. Couple days later, engine would not turn over. Lights work, horn works, signals, brake on, kickstand up, could hear clicks, pushed start button -NOTHING. Took battery to auto zone, battery almost new, 3/4 charged, fully charged up, came back to house, same problem. No FOB start with this bike. Checked battery on load this morning and started right up. Turned off and on several times, ran great, rode around, came back, turned off engine, have not been able to start it again since. Wrote a message on this forum to which I am A new member and can’t find my message/post, so posting again. Any help appreciated. |

| Welcome to the best SWing forum on the net. Enjoy your stay lots of good information on here. Suggestion: you might consider putting your electric gremlins in a separate post. It will get more action then.
My suggestion is to make sure all connections are clean and tight failing that replace the battery, sounds like the things I would do. Cao. |

| Welcome John. There's plenty here to help with your SW problem. I also would start with a new battery, excuse the pun. Use the search window above for more help and advice. I hope you get it sorted soon and start enjoying this wonderful machine |

| If the battery is original I would guess it's worn out. Mine did pretty much the same thing as you've described. I new battery bought, charged overnight, no more problems. |

Yeah. This is the Introduction section of the forum. You’ll quite possibly get ‘more eyes’ and a better response to your electrical problem if you create separate post for that issue in a more appropriate sub-topic —say the Honda Silver Wing / Silver Wing Topics sub-forum. |

| I think it speaks loudly about how old Silverwings are getting that new members and gremlins introduce at the same time. Welcome, both. |

When I first got my SW I posted here with a similar problem, which turned out to be me simply not holding the rear brake level down hard enough. Maybe you’ll be as lucky. |

| Welcome aboard the board John. BTW - if you go into your "Profile", you'll be able to see the posts you made and the threads/topics you started. Play around with the site a bit and you'll get the hang of it. |
