Can anyone advise what if anything needs to be checked at 50K Miles please?
I already have the fork springs and oil on my list as this has always been a issue on my 02 Swing.
My head bearings have developed a notch at staright ahead position so I will be doing this once again (
) , its a bugger of a job to get the bottom race out but I intend to cut a notch in it this time to get the edge of the drift on it and hey presto we should be there. Ths time honda spares not No BAlls head set , these were inferior to Honda imo .
So far the clutch in the rear hub does not show any issues that I am aware of but maybe a change of oil would be a good idea...
My belt has not been changed so I intend to do that as well but I checked it 6K ago and it looked sweet as, so maybe just another inspection.....
Front brake caliper seals need to be changed so thats also on the list...
Variator weights , mmmmm not sure , whats the symptoms of a worn set of weights anyone?
Wheels are looking a bit rough so a re-con job on them would be good to ensure they are good for another 50k
VAlve clearances , I guess its quite a big job on these engines so not sure if I will bother but what you say?
The SWing is a commuter work horse and Do it all bike so I feel I need to give her some love back for all the good times we have had so far , not missed a beat since I purged the crap from the fuel lines .....hurrah!
