| Trying Stainless steel caliper pistons this season to compare corrosion build up. One point of interest is the wall thickness of the pistons is twice that of OEMs.

| That's an interesting observation. I'd be interested to know whether stainless pistons live up their reputation. Based on general belief, I should have put stainless steel pistons in when I overhauled both calipers a couple of years back. However, the existing ones seem to be holding up OK. Maybe that's because I check on them every now and again? |

| TBH I just searched for Honda Silverwing 600 abs caliper overhaul kits on Ebay and the Stainless versions were displayed along with the standard array of sellers. They are slightly dearer but not excessive and they come with a lifetime guarantee. They are fairly new, as in they didn't show a couple of months ago when I first looked into costing the maintenance schedule.
Here's the link to the rear set I bought 2 weeks ago.

Hope this helps you Cosmic.

| PS. they have to be a good grade of Stainless as they are non-magnetic(no impurities).

Be safe, be seen! Yes, these stainless steel piston caliper rebuild kits are available here on US eBay. However it appears that they come from a UK supplier. What is that JohnyC said, they are priced “slightly dearer”? You better believe it: https://www.ebay.com/itm/165124179929?hash=item26722b07d9:g:HxcAAOSwaAphZWQv&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA4HDD4O%2BqIkz4idw8Ey6Befa9weUblEvFd0P%2FbjZn4tadI0e%2BJgztJpM6hm91AY01kACd9mpqXfWdaqj9zm9JCJBTStjQ45isDAAQ6b5YEZi2KpbuJEn0WvBLEtyoXewxI5msHGuGXa4bOUnnmk%2F%2Fvk0fxBBaOSS9hdx5xkoppyLd%2BjYbMXZoapqFvIrRKQsX7GnghXnCwuaea5Zg1oBUmMO0OtZKm7OU7nP34uGBL%2B66G92mkre%2FnmkkGNZ5Gfg7NhPdx88C0mSqGPZ9vNpItYEiKxpFXcFNmvLQviWFIBIs%7Ctkp%3ABFBMyvq37MFh Or: https://www.ebay.com/itm/184160120790?hash=item2ae0cc6fd6:g:o~4AAOSwSABeOmtM&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA4HMWJItsHVJSY2%2B5WK0vIxX%2Bql9A8ncWHxzH8z9D2G6RcRhNTrcgY5OQITHTpmWT%2BhZI3lmnBSo%2FffogQdmoS%2FUySwKn3PvertaLSPVWswnGfEcGO%2Fsek8Hm7oCM%2B4aEhhOk7yVWODeM3pvja4r8%2BGWPmIqVTW0xlV1E5XnWjgy3j4ZU7M0d%2Fta7qhnHa6fkXz8pjXGSSWwD4ecjomcp5031N9e4yOprjF3%2FTSQfY4Kij1nmBZZrDd9ofrgYIJZeghNssXBCzSXnySANzgjimCXv0bFEWQ6dYmrkuUfbK8qA%7Ctkp%3ABFBMrvj368Fh |

| OOOh, they seem to be £15/20 more plus your shipping costs compared to here, sorry Cosmic. Maybe it's because our OEM over here is dearer to start with so the Stainless difference don't seem that much, give it time for them to take off state side.
