Female SWingers !!!!!!

Calm down its not what you think, but I wondered if there are any female SWing riders out there?

THere seems to be a healthy male followign of the SWING but not heard from any female SWING riders , be good to hear from you as I love riding my SWING but its a bit of a handful for some people but be it FJS 400 or 600 your still a SWINGer.

Only two in the donkeys years I've been on here. Leena H from Finland, and Cathy N from the US.

I believe Cathy N now rides a GL1800 Gold Wing instead of a Silver Wing and hangs out with the rest of the weirdos from the defunct maxiscoots forum. They're now in their own smug world in a section of an adventure bike forum.

Here I am and still going strong. Just waiting to start my rinding season in a week or so....There´s still loads of snow in our backyard and I haven't taken my SW out yet. Just looking forward to the first ride, it will be awesome. Safe riding season for you all!

It's good to hear from you Leena. If you can, or even want to, it would be nice to hear about your SWinging experiences!. You live in a fascinating country and riding experiences sometimes provide some interesting light reading.

You're forgetting about meee! Been swinging for years now - worn out 3 scoots & 2 Swings. The old girl is heavy (about 4 times my flyweight) but I wouldn't have it any other way. Though I need a handy man to help get it on the centre stand!

Commute an hour each way to work & back - volunteer as a Think Bike marshal on the weekends.

Can I suggest something more reliable than finding a "Handyman" or in my case a son to get the Swing on the centre stand.


The "Inch" that makes all the difference!
Made from 1" ply wood.



Place behind rear wheel and roll backwards onto it with the wheel.
Rest the Swing temp on the side stand and dis-mount.
Now stand the bike upright and try the centre stand, works for me every time.
Small enough to carry under the seat.

JohnyC I'm definitely going to try making one of those! I can see how it might work.

Just got to work out how to ramp it off again, without coming a cropper!

What I do to get back off the centre stand is..

Straddle the bike, grab the bars and pull back and up causing the bike to rock back, now its down to timing because it will rock a bit backwards before rocking forward to rest. So as the bikes weight causes it to rock forward to rest give it a shove on the bars should roll it off the stand. As I said it's a timing thing. "Practise makes perfect"
