Oil screen stuck

Just changed the oil on my newly purchased 04 swing. The oil screen didn't come out with the spring..I can't figure whether it's stuck or the wasn't in in there. Kinda felt like I could feel it up in there but was stuck.. Anyone run into this before?

Hello nolabel10935, welcome to the forum. If you can feel the mesh screen up inside the hole, try sticking your index finger into it nice and tight and pull. Maybe jiggle it a little too. There's nothing holding it in there so try it.
