Dell City Texas is a town in West Texas founded in 1948. Big things were planned but the population in 2020 was just 245 souls. I guess they were a bit optimistic!

Dell City is about 100 miles northeast of El Paso. Almost on the New Mexico border.

Sadly, I still know all the words; I was nine when it was released in 1959. I bought the single.
