New Feature !!! Attachments !!

Hi,

There is a new feature to this site for Attachments. I have been playing with it and have also added storage for this feature. If you look down past the "Preview" and "Send" buttons below you will see the following:

You can attach one or more files with the following form :
( 3g2, 3gp, bmp, doc, docm, docx, gif, jpg, m4a, m4v, mov, mp3, mp4, mpg, pdf, png, pps, ppt, pptm, pptx, swf, tif, txt, wma, wmv, xls, xlsb, xlsm, xlsx, zip )

Go below and hit the "Browse" button and then find the file you want to attach. Then hit the :Send" button that is next to the "Browse" button. After a slight wait you can then hit the "Send" button that is next to the "Preview" button. This is the "Send" button you hit when you want to post the message.

It is a new feature for this site, and type of forum, and I will keep the memory as full as i can for this feature. I have limited the size of the attachments but I think they files can be up to 300-400 kb.

But you will need to limit your files to about 100 kb or so. I'm still playing with it to see exactly how it works. I will try to post an attachment to make sure it works here.

I have downloaded the attachments for all of the Pictorials that I done. Just go to the Pictorials section and look at the ones that I have posted. It is a really much better feature than having to use a file sharing site to place the files.

Here are the types of files that can be used as Attachments:

The fields below allow you to customize the options for attachments. The basket allows you to download attachments that are no longer attached to a message. You can only restore if the message has not been deleted by the user or yourself. Here are all the file extensions allowed.

	Pictures : .bmp - .png - .jpg - .gif - .tif
	Sounds : .mp3 - .m4a - .wma
	Videos : .mp4 - .mov - .m4v - .mpg - .3gp - .3g2 - .wmv
	Documents : .txt - .doc - .docm - .docx - .pps - .ppt - .pptm - .pptx - .xls - .xlsb - .xlsm - .xlsx - .pdf
	Misc : .zip - .swf

Pretty darn cool, if you ask me. This feature should really come in handy.

It is pretty cool and I'm glad they finally did something like this. It seems you have to be signed in to open the attachments though. So if anyone wants to see the attachments make sure you log in to the site.
