| That's what I've got, Bill. Perhaps it could be 'pinned' somewhere for future reference (if it isn't already and I've missed it). |

| Hi Guys, The reason for my wire colors on the Pefect Connector is for the hook of trailer lights. These are standard colors here in the US that everyone follows. |

| My new light bar's arrived - posted on Saturday so that's very good. I'll run the tests first then tape up the Purple wire and follow the instructions, connecting it after I've done all the rest and tried them out on the bike. Fingers crossed! |

| It works! It works! I was ultra-careful, taping the ends of all the wires and only taking off the tape at the moment of connecting each one both when doing the Test and Installation. I did as Admore suggested and delayed connecting the Purple wire until I'd connected and tried the rest. Cable is threaded through the hole/cut-out in the panel where the spoiler bolts on to the rear LH mount. It's a comfy fit so I had to do a bit of jiggling to get the correct amount of slack in the cable, having mounted the bracket and Light Bar, nipped up, on the spoiler using the Givi rack bolts. I'll post pictures in a while. I'm thrilled to bits - thanks to everyone for help, support and encouragement. |

| This is an addition to the bit about feeding the cable through - it might help: It's a snug fit and requires fiddling with as it won't just pull through when the spoiler is in place so one needs to adjust and re-adjust to get the right amount of slack. I attached light and bracket semi-tightly then did the fiddling. In truth, it's a matter of juggling to get it how you want. I bought plastic stick-on cable hooks for under the spoiler as I'd seen a picture where someone else had used them. Also, the nuts on the Givi rack are a bit small....or the slots in the Admore mount are a bit wide....so I used a large diameter washer with the correct size hole in between mount and nut. I also used a spring-washer there as the nuts are nylock and although they'll probably be OK I want to be sure. Good luck, bigbird. |

| Yes, that's correct. I'm sure it'll be just as effective mounted under the spoiler - I look forward to seeing your pictures. |

| Congratulations Mike on a great install of the AdMore Mini Light Bar! It looks great on your Silverwing! We have inspected the light bar that you sent back to us that wasn't working and it certainly appears as though the purple wire may have been accidentally grounded at installation (although we hate to ever say that it might be the customer's fault!!).
The AdMore Mini Light Bar is very robust - in fact, we drove a truck over one and it kept on working (but please don't try this at home!). We have tried to design the Mini Light Bar to be pretty much bulletproof (which it is). It does have its Achilles heel, though, and it's that purple wire. If the purple wire is accidentally grounded it toasts the circuitry. All other wires can be connected any which way and no damage will result but it is critically important not to accidentally ground the purple wire at installation. We welcome any questions from forum members and, as always, we are here to help.
The AdMore Lighting Team |

| Thanks, adml! I used the chocolate block connector so I didn't have to break into the wiring harness and I didn't have to put on my reading glasses to see what I was doing. I was VERY careful. Glad your installation was successful, bigbird. At least there's lots of room behind the panel; I've cable-tied my wires as I said, and there were plenty of points to do it. My first excursion on the bike is a trip tomorrow to England for a party. Six hours on the road should be a good test for the new lights although it won't be pitch-dark even at midnight, my ETA at home. |

Have you had a chance to observe the new brake light from behind? Do you think the three flashes will really be noticed by your local law enforcement?? Can the three flashes be disabled ... just incase?? |

| My partner and I discussed the brake-light flashes and decided they were so quick and three only that it was unlikely I'd be pulled for it. And for them as don't know, the 'flashing' is automatically disabled for 10 seconds or so after an application of the brakes so if one is in traffic and constantly touching the brakes, the other drivers aren't subjected to a light-display! I wrote recently that at speed my muffs were pressing on the brake-levers, probably causing the lights to flash and I wasn't stopped for that. We took it in turns to stand behind the bike and look. I'm impressed, as was he. We're going on a trip to Germany next week so he'll have a chance to see it action on the road. Yes, the flashes can be disabled easily - clear, concise instructions are included with the Bar. |

| No, I put it in because I wanted to ensure I'd followed the instructions to the letter, apart from using the chocolate-block in preference to the Wire Taps (easier anyway because of using Dennis's connector). Do you think I should dispense with it? I don't want to bugger it up. |

| Ah! Have you bought a connector from Dennis? There are plenty of posts with the colour-coding and using his means you don't have to cut into the Silverwing wiring at all. Honest! |

| I've just heard a rumour that the Admore light bar electronics have been modified to eliminate the diode thingy so the extra bit of purple wire won't be included any more. I think it'll mean one can't turn off the brake-light modulator but that feature hasn't proved a problem for me (not really allowed in Belgium or the UK). I also think there will still be some available for people who really don't want the brake-light to flash.
I'm still very pleased I bought it. |
