Hello group...
Just wanted to ask someone if they've installed a 4 way flasher light system on the 600 Sling yet? If so, did you use a "priority light box" module or something else? I welcome some answers please! Smile

Fraternally,
Pete

Hi Pete,

This maybe a little late....but.

Just picked up a flasher system and will install them on the Silverwing for PGR missions. $15.99 and free shipping. Small flashers but should work well for what I need it to do. Here's the Ebay Thread:

4x3LED Car Truck Boat Led Strobe Lights Amber.

I called Kisantech there system will not work on our Silverwings because we do not have a seperate flasher It is all one control unit This was about 2 months ago Maybe if enough Swing owners called they may put something together. Dennis you can't beat that price Like to see it installed. Tony

Hi Tony,

Me to! They will probably get it in the mail today, I hope. This should be fun. I'm planning to install 2 light units up under the front fairing nose and 2 under the rear spoiler. The controller box I'm not sure about at this time. I know it's a small box, maybe in the trunk or one of the glove boxes (right one). The lights are 1.9" x 0.5" x 0.5" and should fit nicely anywhere. I'll post some pictures as the project moves along.

Hi Tony,

Just received the Amber LED Flasher unit and did a quick power wire hook-up to see how they worked. It took a while for my eyes to see again. They work great. They have a about 15 degrees off center view area 30 degrees overall, which is OK by me. I'll be mounting 2 on my front light bar on the stabilizing cross bar section and 2 on my flag mount bar under the spoiler.

Now for the fun part...The movies!!!!

Found the perfect place to mount the control box and it fits like a glove in the glove box...Where else! Plan on using vel-cro to fasten it to the top and drill a very small hole to run the power and control wires out the back on top surface.

Looks good. Before I run these lights will have to run that Terminal Block Just don't know where to put it, need access to it for the fuses. Dennis did you run a block. Tony

Tony, If I was going to install a power terminal block, I think I would install it on the back side of the right glove box some where, so I could get to it if I needed to with out to much trouble.

I'm thinking of a direct fused power wire to the battery on this emergence light install.

That would be tough for me I have about 3 hot leads coming off the battery now. That would mean I would have to reroute every thing I was checking the front of the underseat storage wall. What I have to mount is Terminal block, Groundblock and 2 relays and run my leads under carpeting. This is one of those snowy day jobs with a clear head

Got going this morning and installed the front Emergence Lights on the light bar. I had one of my neighbors come over and help with pushing the buttons on the control box in the right glove box. I'm waiting for delivery of a 4 pin connector for the rear lights hook-up. cheers

I would think Button "C" to be safe in all 50 states.

Though I wonder if Button "A" and/or "B" flashing patterns would be legal in all 50 states ... or it would it be grey area in the laws.

My Knight Rider red oscillating LED (without brake) is not covered in the Texas DMV laws ... though I seem to remember reading a rigid law (maybe Massachusetts then I stopped looking) that prevented any oscillating lights except emergency vehicles.

Hi Bill,

Check out "Motorcycles used for funeral escort". That's the reason I installed the lights in the first place...To escort in PGR funeral missions. These lights work great for that and not to hard to install.

Hi Tony,

The 4 pin connector is for the use of the 2 lights on the back of the scooter. Instead of having 2, 2 pin connectors, I'm making it into 1, 4 pin to clean it up so it looks better and has a more professional appearance.

Hi Tony,

Well got the wires ran to the back lights and the project is complete. Each LED light module comes with a 2 pin connector installed on the end of it's lead wires. What I did was take the 2 pin connectors off the two light modules and installed one 4 pin connector. From time to time we all must remove the rear spoiler to do maintenance under the two side covers.

This 4 pin connector makes it easy to remove the spoiler from the bike.

Hi All,

I needed to add something.

After the installation, I needed some way to tell what flash mode they were in or if they were working while I was on the bike. So I installed a couple of amber 12 volt LED's along the edge of my instrument panel. I just needed to measure and drill two 1/4" holes. I had to by 20, 5mm amber LED's and 20, 5mm holders. I just needed 2. if any one needs 2 amber LED's and holders for anything, let me know and I'll send them out for $2.00 First class mail
