Tom’s Completed Winter Projects:
2009 Honda SilverWing Accessory Updates:

THANKS TO ALL YOU GUYS WHO HAVE PROVIDED INFO & HELP TO ME ON THIS FORUM --- I APPRECIATE YOUR HELP AND TIME!

1) Installed wiring from battery to left front fairing: See: “12 Volt Power Install Without Removing Tupperware
Fused the wire from battery to Toggle Switch. [01] (Placed easily on left side under light)
Then used a hanger to fish the wires (shrink-wrapped) under the left floor board and up thru the front fairing under the turn signal. (I did not have to take off any Tupperware).
- I split the two main wires into four wires. Routed two wires up and thru the hole into the left front fairing pocket. (Taped off the other two wires for future LED lighting).
- Connected a Honda GL1800 GoldWing 12 volt power adapter [02] to the wiring. I had to rasp out the hole to make larger for the adapter to just snap in place. This was great because there was no way to connect the back of other types of power adapters without removing the front Tupperware.
- Now both the 12 volt adapter and future front LED lighting will work off the toggle switch under the seat.

2) I did not like the light under the seat going on when the seat was lifted and staying on until the seat was closed. If not closed properly, the light would stay on and drain the battery.
So I purchased an exact replacement light that has an attached switch. [03] It is actually for Acura, but fits the Swing with only 1:16 inch rasping of light hole.
I will replace the bulb with an exact fit LED light that was mentioned on this forum.

3) Received and installed both front mirrors (Reflex Mirrors) and Honda extenders. [04]

4) Received and installed ‘Breakaway Cruise Control’ [05]

5) Received Active-Plus DuoKit [06] (audio to helmet) and will install next weekend.
Purchased a fuse box adapter [07] that will hook directly to the fuse insert in the fuse box under the seat and the unit will go on only when the ignition is turned on.

Hi Tom,
It sounds like you had some things going on. Thank's for the step by step on the powerlet installation. That's going to help alot of people out.

This is good info . . . people often make modifications but w/o indicating where the stuff comes from.

Why doesn't the SW come with the 12 volt attachment anyway?
