Hi Craig,
Sorry, i have been away for a few days.
There has been many people ask me about my stereo on my scooter.
The speakers are Teac outdoor 50 watt speakers. The stereo is a Car
after market AM/FM/CD/MP3 player i bought at Wallmart. I mounted the
stereo in one of my side bags and the remote control is mounted on top of
my left brake reserve with easy to remove double tape so i can change the battery
ever few years.

To answer your questions.
The radio is 4 channel 200 watt, i only use the front 2 channels. My original intent was to put the 2 rear channels in but after using it i decided it wasn't necessary.
The radio is very loud and i never have to turn it up at hi-way speeds. I put a active antenna on it so it receives very well. Most people who see and hear it are very impressed and want to do it also. So would i do it again,,,,, NO NO NO. It was a lot of work and not really worth it. I have another bike and wasn't going to do it the same way. I put some small flat helmet speakers in my helmet and carry my MP3 player with me. It works just as good if not better then the external speaks, was MUCH easier to do and MUCH cheaper. I told a few of my friends about this and they each did the helmet speakers and are very happy with the results. You can get the Helmet speakers for $20 to $50 on e-bay.
Hope this helps you.
P.S. the radio i bought has a bluetooth in it and it will answer my phone when i'm riding.
