Hi, I am posting 3 pictures of my rear tire after 10,000 miles. I changed out to Pirelli Diablo's last time and really like this tire. I am having the same tires put on tomorrow too. I just thought some may like to see pics of the tires at 10,000 miles. Some may think I could get some more miles out of them but I don't like to push things anymore. When I was younger I would ride these until they popped.. but I don't do that at this stage in life. You can see the wear on the sides. I'm not sure if that is considered cupping but it is worn some. It seems like there is still tread, and there is, but the very center of the tire doesn't seem to have much rubber left. I had the Hoops as the OEM tires, and they are very good tires, but I feel the Diablo's just grip better. I changed the Hoops at 10,500 miles and they seem to last longer, but these feel better. After I get a few miles on the new ones I will tell you what I think. But new tires are always better than worn ones.

Jeff, 10K is pretty good out of the Pirelli as I think they are a somewhat softer coumpound than the Bridgestone Hoop. But I'd have to think you are pretty regular at checking the tire pressures to get that kind of mileage out of your rear tires. Boy, checking the pressure on that rear tire is a joy isn't it?

I just turned 10000 miles Thursday on my SW. I guess I need to look into getting a new set of tires. I know there have been a few threads on tires, I think I'm just going to go to my local Honda Dealer and have them replace the tires.

Gene, What kind are you thinking of getting? Hopefully they won't try to sell you the Dunlops. They came stock on my Majesty and when I changed out to the IRC's I noticed just how much I didn't like the Dunlops. I have heard that some have put the Dunlops on the SWing and didn't like them at all.

Gene, When I read your post about just going down to the dealer and have them replace your tires, I was just thinking that I hope they don't try to sell you the Dunlops. If I were you I would try to get the Diablo's. I was thinking of IRC's but really like the Diablo's so I didn't want to change out. In my last post I was just comparing the Dunlops with the IRC's, and if I had to choose between just those 2, I would choose the IRC's. But the Diablo's really stick to the street really good.
