There is a 2002 for sale locally and at a good price w/ lo miles but I don't know if Honda made any big changes. Can anyone help?
Can anyone tell me if there are any big changes between 2002 and 2009?

| Many small changes like the glove box handles and that kinda stuff, but nothing major. |

| Honda also added an O2 sensor around '07 or '08 I believe, so if you're into aftermarket exhaust that might be a small factor to consider. |

| The '02s are slightly faster than all other model years. |

| Okay, I've cleaned up the Chat Room thread.
Please don't respond in that thread if you are responding to the info contained in this thread. That is like sending a post card to your father to answer a phone call from your son....
Should have merged the two and cleaned it up that way, but too much work to do so I punted.
Big Bird,
I did not transfer your post, hope that is okay. |

| There were some internal computer differences in 2002-03 compared to the other years, and in around 07 in the USA they switched from a painted dashboard to a textured one with better map pockets and closure and locking mechanism.
The differences that aren't cosmetic really aren't worth considering a new bike for. Cosmetic changes can be adapted. I converted my dash from the painted to the textured for instance. Much cheaper than buying a significantly newer bike because it already has the different dash. |
