| Hi,
It seems we have many members that live in England and I have started this new section to see if it will help some of them organize rides. The reason I haven't started one for the U.S. or other countries is since the U.S. is so large and I would have to start many different sections in the U.S. and also because I'm not sure how this will work out.
I am experimenting with this for now and am more than willing to expand if this works out. We have many members from England and since England is kind of an island it may work best there at first. Again, please don't be offended if your country or continent has been left out.
If you live in England, or in Europe, and plan to ride to England please use this section to see if you can set up meet points or rides with others there. Also, please post pictures of all the riders and some nice pictures of the countryside too.
Also, please give me feedback to see if this section is worth having and if I can add improvements too. And if you are in another part of the world and think a section like this can help out please get back to me.
I ask for your patience to see if this works and if it doesn't I can just delete this section and just say " Well I tried". |

| It might be a good idea if the UK members could put their location under their avatar (saves going into individual profiles), then at least we'd have an idea where we all are!

| Good idea,
We may have a small island but our roads are so crap that 'long hauls' are often out of the question. (At least we don't have to carry spare petrol!)

Whereabouts in Yellowbelly land are you both? I'm in Louth, but wifey and me tour round the county and beyond when the weather (and work!!) allow. Wouldn't mind meeting up sometime.

Kurt, I just spoke with PJA and he said he wouldn't get caught riding with someone from Belmont, Perth. I tried to stand up and defend you but he wasn't having any of that. |

| A great idea as there appears to be quite a number of forum members here in the UK that live in England.
I live in Scotland however and was wondering if there are any other Scottish members.
Also I was wondering how many UK members there are in total i.e Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Distance would prohibit my meeting up with other UK members on a regular basis however I would be very pleased to be able to meet up now and again with local forum members. |

You're not that old Skippy, so it can't have changed that much!! Nice theatre for live shows, The Embassy Centre, seen a few of the 60/70/80's bands doing revival shows there. Still got 'comforts' though, and chavs as well now! |

| I got the email so thanks Skippy for suggesting it.
I'm in. Base is Chelmsford in Essex. Work in London. Have two. A silver Silver Wing fully loaded with heating, radio etc and a factory Repsol Honda Racing Silver Wing, once owned by Vale himself and unique. Photos to follow – taking a picture of my bike has never been top of my mind.
Have built-up a lot of knowledge of the bike since owned one and so can offer help to anyone.
I run Motorcycle Action Group in Chelmsford (find us on Facebook) and organise ride outs and rally trips throughout the year. If anyone is interested you are welcome to join us - follow us on Fbook.

| That's the one. Bought off a chap in Newport, Wales. I was told there is a photo of Rossi sitting on it but never found it. I don't expect Rossi ever rode it but I do know for sure it was Honda's own bike and presented to Rossi and subsequently used in marketing. But if you have any history of it then please let me know. | Twist & Go magazine had your Repsol Silver Wing for a while back in 2002-2003, it's featured in a comparison test with a 650 Burgman in one issue, and I can faintly remember them testing a couple of aftermarket screens on it in another issue.
Funnily enough when that bloke in Newport had it for sale in 2009, it attracted a few comments on the maxi-touring forum. Maybe mikbak who's the head honcho of maxi-touring and also in Wales remembers more. |

| Jeez, there must be some heavy primer on that central tunnel to bury the texture moulded into the plastic!! I wouldn't like to have to repair that in hurry if somebody flexed it enough to crack!
Looks like a nice job, Dream Machine can do it if they want to! |

| Thanks for lead Meldrew. I'll track down/ order back copies. Apparently it was also in the October 2002 edition of Scootering Magazine (edition 197).
I found out about the other Repsol paint job. The work was done by the owner and a graphics company in San Diego, California as his own tribute to Nicky Hayden (hence the number on the back). Mine isn't painted on the grey plastic, only the bodywork. And being by Dream Machine it is top quality. The paint job on the other is DIY. A bit like a lady applying foundation. Yes, it looks smooth but try riding it and it all cracks up.

You've started something now, your Repsol Silver Wing is featured in three issues of Twist & Go! Issue 13 has an article about it getting the Repsol paint job from Dream Machine and alternative screens, the taller Honda, and the taller Givi. Issue 14 the freshly painted Silver Wing goes over to Normandy where Bagster France made up that distinctive blue cover seat for it. Issue 15 you already know about. I'd like to hang on all my back copies of Twist & Go as a sort of archive, but I'll talk to my technical advisor Mrs Meldrew about scanning or photocopying the relevant pages. |

Met the guy once who owned the Repsol, he lives in Port Talbot and attended Ians Forest Of Dean run 3 years ago. Was riding a 650 Burgman then, we said our goodbyes with a wave on the M4 , on the run home and I haven't heard from him since..
For the life of me I can't remember his name sorry..

By the way, the guy in Wales I bought it from is Ryan.
