| Good morning to everyone. I am looking for a silver wing 600 I live in Rome Italy. I found one here in my town for a nice price with 54000 km in very good conditions. Would like to know if someone can give me some tips how to check the silver wing before i buy it. Are 54k too many km? best regards J. |

| I'm not very knowledgeable about prices but 54K kilometers is not much at all - one rider has 140,000+ miles on his! |

| Jon,
It doesn't seem like many miles for a SWing and I'm also not sure about prices outside of the U.S. But I would just check for how well it seems the owner kept care of it. Ask how he maintained it, when did he last change the belt, how often does he check the oil etc. There really isn't much to do to the SWing since they just run so good and it doesn't seem like things ever happen to them.
I have 33,000 miles or 53,000 km on mine and it still runs like new. If you do buy it, or another SWing, there are many Pictorials on this site to explain how to do a lot of work yourself. Good luck and keep us informed. |

As i looked for my one, i found one with 320.000km The seller wants 2.000€ OK, the engine was newer, he changed the engine at 280.000km with an used engine that have 30.000km. If this engine makes the same distance, the next engine change will be necessary at approx 500.000km But i took another SiWi with "only" 55.000km and for nearly the half price I think the only thing you have to look for are wear parts and the history/maintenance. A good engine is only as good as the maintenance! And some of the wearparts are not cheap (especially the Honda OEM Parts), that is no problem but take a look for it and use it at price negotiation |
