| I have vibration in the stock plastic Silverwing mirrors that makes it hard to see anything till I am going 50 MPH and faster and I have tryed some old heavy metal mirrors that I had on a old Honda and I have no vibration at all . But the old heavy metal mirrors are very ugly . Has anyone up graded to a vibration free mirror that looks good and fits the Silverwing. Has anyone tryed the Reflex mirrors or any other mirrors that have stopped the vibration in the mirrors on a Silverwing. |

| I put some BikeMaster "Superike GX" black mirrors on mine. They are slightly taller and wider, don't vibrate as much and look like typical Honda "flag" mirrors. |

| The Burger 400 mirrors are supposed to be very good, too. I haven't tried them. They're chromed. |

I haven't tried them. They're chromed. I know a few that have fitted Burgman 400 mirrors to their 'Wings'. Cannot comment on the vibration qualities other than to say they have stopped complaining!!! The additional plus to Burgman mirrors is that they rotate through 90 degrees so aid filtering as they reduce the overall width of the machine. |

| I don't have a problem with the reflex mirrors and mirror extenders on mine. |

| Heavier bar end weights might help as well...

- Maybe try to fix the cart before the horse. I suggest trying to remove the vibration. How's the condition of the drive belt and variator?
Some suggestions: 1) new belt 2) Dr. Pulley sliders 3) J. Costa variator. These will all reduce vibration, especially door #3. I think 2 & 3 are a pricey option for vibration reduction in ones mirrors. Me - personally, would explore cheaper options such as alternate mirrors and bar end weights first. It may even be worth doing what I do. Look over my shoulder and see if anything is coming!!!! |

| I found stock mirrors fine----but dressed up in heavy winter clothes, got to see a lot of my shoulders-----old Honda, cheap, CB750 mirrors took care of seeing problem. I don't care about ugly. Function is the deal.
If vibration excessive---read BigBird.

| Like dspevack in the post above, I have great rearward and side views with the Reflex mirrors and (most importantly) the Mirror Extenders that are posted on this site. The Reflex mirror arms are longer than the Swings and with the addition extension of the Extenders, you can have great Vibration Free views all around...and the total fix is less than $50!! See and be seen and ride safe....billc. |

| I vote with bigbird - the J Costa really smoothed the machine out.
Realizing the J Costa is expensive and hard to find, I would suggest using lighter rollers or Dr. Pulley sliders. The stock rollers are too heavy and cause the motor/drive to lug for a bit and cause vibration and rumble. Lighter weights will allow the motor to spool up with less load on it, removing most of the vibration.

| Try things like removing the mirror from the canopy and: 1. applying some epoxy to reseat the mirror, 2. Put some expanding foam in the canopy and once the foam has expanded cut it down so there is just enough space to reseat the mirror with pressure from the foam. Or without removing the mirrors from the canopy: 1. Drill a hole in the bottom of the mirror canopy and squirt some expanding foam in there. 2. Drill a hole in the bottom and fill it with non-expanding foam. |

| I injured my arm and could not handle any vibration ... and did not want to stop riding ... so I added Manic Salmander ( http://www.manicsalamander.com/products/app-finder.aspx ) bar end weights. I also have the mirror extenders. Another option may be the vibranator ( http://www.vibranator.com/default.asp ) ... not spelled vibrator |
