| I just thought I would see where to buy 21Gram sliders since I am trying to improve my zero to sixty acceleration. |

| whoa there is a 15g slider available too? Any experience with this? Is it just complete overkill especially to MPG and top speed? I still want usable power up around the 75 MPH to 80 MPH range if I need to get around a big rig up a hill. |

Scott You're very welcome. Let us know what you think once you get them installed. |

| I will and I hope install is as easy as changing the air filter. I am very curious what the 15g sliders would do since the 21g sliders were being compared to the immediate acceleration of the J Costa variator. |

| Before you install your sliders, be sure to clean the variator (and roller wells) thoroughly. Most of us use this dry lube in the roller wells to enhance the smoothness! I have opted to alternate 21g-28g x 4 rather than swap out the entire set. The performance is quite noticable, no more lag between 35-45 mph powerband. Hang on tight! |

| Those 15 gram weights are tempting but somehow I think the trade off would be problematic. I might prefer the 24g weights as it sounds similar to a mixture of the 21g and 28g sliders. I am happy with 0 to 60 times in the low 6 to high 5 second range for sure. I was having some fun with a BMW 1200 yesterday and he showed me what his bike was truly capable of after the third red light. I would have liked to stay with him up to 60mph to surprise him a little bit.
Thanks for the advice. I think I am going to get the 24g and be happy with what those do for me for only investing about $60 and a little time to prep. |

Wishful thinking. It's not difficult by any means, but you will want some guidance here. Oh, look what I found: https://www.silverwing600.com/t23-variator-and-belt-pictorialLucky you. You'll need either an impact gun, a special Honda tool, or a home brew tool to loosen the variator nut. From there you pull off the inner sheave. Be careful, as the rollers and spacers will come out and scatter all over the place. Remember the old Home Depot slogan? "You can do it. We can help". |

| Thanks for that. I knew the guy on the BMW was going to smoke me as soon as we got through the area with the photo radar. I was just full throttle up to indicated 60 MPH and then cruise til I got to the next light and then he finally blistered me pretty badly.
I'll purchase a couple tools to get it right and if I feel like its took big of a job I do have a mechanic that works on bikes and atvs of all sorts that can help when I need it. So far this has been the best $2,000 I have ever spent and I am about to get my wife a Kymco Venox for $1200 tomorrow so we can cruise side by side. |
