| Went out to buy a Goldwing and came home with a Silverwing. Used to have fast bikes in the 70s, Z1 Kawasaki 900, Honda 750-4, Honda 650XL street/trail plus a couple more.
Quit riding in the mid 80s. I'm 58 years old and have short legs. Too hard for me to climb on a conventional bike. My dealer had an 07 SW and it was love at first sight. I thought about it for a couple hours and then went ahead and bought it.
I'm glad to find this forum. Friendly people and lots of good info. |

| droy,
Welcome to the site. A metalurgical Wing by another name. That is a funny story I'm sure. My wife and I travel quite a ways on ours and have encountered some GoldWingers that are always surprised at the touring capabilities of the SilverWing. Good choice and good luck. I'm glad you found us. |

| droy, Welcome to the site and post some pics when you get a chance. We would all like to see some of your new bike. You will enjoy the SWing since it is smooth, stable, and powerful. I still get that smile when I ride. I've always wanted to ride a GW but I'm sure I will never get the chance. Are you planning to get a new shield, grips etc? If you have any questions please just ask. It seems we have all done something to our SWing and could save ou some money. |

| Hi and Welcome. I'm in southwest OH right on the IN line. Where are you? I'm a new convert to the Silverwing also and I'm loving it. I have short legs also and after the seat being lowered, lowered shocks and big boots I'm about flat-footed now! I ride with a group in Richmond, IN. We meet at Carver's restaurant right by the intersection of Interstate 70 and Rt 27. Anyone is welcome. We meet at eight AM on Thursday mornings. We would love to have you visit. We ride all over, many times to southern In, Madison and Friendship almost every year. Enjoy |

| I'm in Jeffersonville, affectionately known as the sunnyside of Louisville or N Louisville. I live less than 2 miles from the Ohio River bridges and can be in downtown Louisville in about 5 minutes. Thanks for the invite, you never know.... |
