| I don't know what to call the little piece I am looking to replace. I messed it up recently trying to find a place to mount a switch for my running lights. I have temporarily rigged it with a dummy switch that looks like crap, but does fill hole. All part diagrams I have seen do not even list it as being there. If someone has a scrap plate or knows where I can find one please contact me.
It is the small almost square directly under the ignithion switch. I am posting a link to a picture of it on Picasa. https://picasaweb.google.com/103059996902834582977/Button?authkey=Gv1sRgCIf3mcmrvvfdIg#5692390703607280530 |

| CAP, SWITCH 64367-MCT-000
Hi Gary,
Looks like Honda wants only .15 cents for this part. No Doubt $15.00 shipping so shop around for the best price.

| If you order it from your local dealer, you should not have to pay shipping. At least I believe that's how my local dealer works. Check with your local dealer. If they will not get it four you let me know and I can check my local dealer for you. |

| Went by Honda dealer today and sure enough, they charged me $0.20 for the cap. They didn't have it in stock, so, they had to order it. The kicker is that they offered to mail it to me FREE to save me a trip by their place of business.(I live 30 miles from their store.) Can you beat that? They were gonna spend $0.43 to send me a twenty cent item. I want to keep these guys in business. I gave them a dollar to pay for mailing it to me. We were both happy.

| Dealers can be your friend, they get the term steelers(sp?) sometime unfairly. Glad they could help you save some money on shipping. My local dealer even gives our scooter club a 20 percent discount for all items not already marked down or on sale. Sometime all you have to do is ask and give a little loyaltee(sp?). Out club gets discounts at most local independent scooter shops also. And Knowtow Motorcycle Transports will come get our scooter if one of us has a breakdown on any scheduled ride FREE of charge. Bashful people suffer for not asking. |

| MikeO Thank you at least I knew they were not right, but I could not even get close enough for my spellchecker to help me. Before I got a spellchecker I was afraid to post anything. Again thank you for the help. Never to old to learn, it just takes a little longer to sink in. Now let's hope I can remember the next time I need to use them. |

| It's a pleasure helping since you asked. I keep a dictionary beside my PC, just in case. |

| one of the small evils of a dictionary -- if you don't know how to spell it, you may not be able to find it. my favorite "spell helper" is the little Google box in the upper right corner of this screen. If you know the first few letters it will give you a whole list of things that "might" be right.

:flower: I am with you 100% but sometimes I can't even get that close. as was the case with 'stealers' & 'loyalty'. I never claimed to be smart but I try not to be stupid. By the way I had to use the spellchecker and Google more than one time to post this. And I still had to use two words one time instead the one word I wanted to use.

| As an editor, I have to add my $.02 -- don't rely on spellcheckers too much. A word spelled correctly but used incorrectly won't be caught and can have embarrasing results. For example, leave the L out of "public awareness." |

| Follow UP.... got the cap in the mail yesterday.... Postage for the twenty cents item was $1.71. I paid them a dollar the day of the order, so they made a net profit of -$0.91... that is a net loss of (-) $0.91 .. I owe them ninety one cents ... not gonna drive the 60 miles round trip to pay them... not even going to send them the money in the mail... BUT ... I remember that I owe them. And the next time I am there will make the payment and thank them for being so helpful.
And you forum friends helped this old man too. Thank you. I hope to repay the favor sometime. |
