| Welcome....you're going to love your bike and this forum. I bought an '04 Silverwing and my g/f totaled it within 24 hours of my purchase. So, one of the guys on this forum sold me his '05 with ABS and a lot less miles on it. I love this bike. I've ridden since I was a young girl...first riding mini bikes, then onto other bikes, throughout the years. Of all of them...my favorites are the Honda Helix and Honda Silverwing. I ride my Silverwing every chance I get. My g/f has a Helix. They sit side by side in the garage. Jump in with any questions or suggestions.

| No, my g/f inherited my Helix. The Silverwing proved to be too much bike for her. She's 5'9" and her feet fit flat on the ground, but there was too much bike for her liking. That's how it was totaled. The Helix has a foot brake and the Wing, doesn't. When she road 1/2 a block up to a stop, she went for the foot brake and it wasn't there. She headed into the intersection and during the turn, she laid it down and let it slide away from her. The damage to the plastic was so great, that it was totaled. I'll try to get pictures of both our bikes up, today. I love the Helix, but it's not big enough for me to commute from the very north end of Las Vegas (where I live), to Henderson (where I work). The Helix will do 65 on the freeway, no problem. But, other drivers damn near ran me over. So, that's why I stepped up the Silverwing. It gets me out of the way. |
