Silverwing w/towpac/8"wheels

Hubby has a 2002 silverwing 600 with a towpac unit with 8" wheel base, he is wanting to know if is possible to convert the existing towpac unit to a 12" wheelbase. He understands there will be some modifications, if it can be done at all, just wondering if there are any other riders who have done this, or have any advice.......otherwise, we are looking for another towpac unit with the 12" wheelbase, to fit the '02 model of the silverwing 600......any help here is appreciated.
