| Recently bought 2009 s.w. for my wife. She does not like the color. ( same as mine) so I will be removing all the painted panels to take into local paint shop. I plan on following the service manual instructions. Has anyone done this and can offer any tips or insight into any issues I might encounter while doing this.
Thank You
Ken |

| A lot of peaces have locking tabs some you have to pop out others pop up the batwing use a credit card or plastic card and pop forward and some slid out.Make a note where all the screws go . Put something to protect the fender when you remove the fairing . Take your time don't force anything. Its a good to run 12 volt plug to the front and xtra wires for future mods. Good luck . |

| Thanks Tinman.
I am removing the fender first so that won't be a problem. I do want to install a power plug in left pocket. Thanks for the reminder. the wires should be easy to run with everything removed.

I'm thinking of changing my color this year, but instead of painting, I'm toying with vinyl wrapping. It's cheaper and easier to fix if a panel gets messed up. |

| I was thinking of using 3m 1080. Used it on my car recently with great results. The scooter has a few more curves on the front panel, but with a good felt squeegee and a heat gun I think it'll lay well. |
