bike wont powerup

battery died cause i didnt turn off switch to stereo. started to jump with car, but had positive on bike going to neg and so on. there was a clicking sound, noticed wires were crossed so i disconnected. now, when i turn the key, there is nothing, no power, no lights or dash, wont turn over etc. what could be the problem? i checked the fuses and connections etc without opening her up.
