| Ok, I'm looking for some input. Wife has an '11 SW and we are interested in having more than 2 wheels (3 or 4). On a previous bike we had a Tow-Pac kit and aren't willing to go there again. I have read a good bit on this forum regarding the Yelvington Trike. Sent them an email, no reply. Called them, the lady I spoke with said I needed to send my questions via email and gave me a different email address, sent email, no reply. So now I'm back to square one. I have also seen reference to Danson, but don't know anything about them. Is Danson a higher quality than Tow-Pac or is there another direction I should be looking in?? Are there any other true trike kit manufacturers, besides Yelvington?? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

| I have a Danson. I know nothing about Tow-Pac, but I am very pleased with both the quality and service I got from the the Danson company.

| Since June 1, 2010. I decided to buy it in late May (like the 23d) the local distributor called on June 1 and said come get it.
Other than the normal "how the hell do I turn this thing" when I first rode (drove) it, nothing unexpected.
I recently found that I had mounted one of the air shocks wrong, which caused it to fail. (my fault, not the manufacturer's). Other than that, I really have nothing to complain about. I live about 15 miles from the primary distribution center, so I saved the delivery charge by picking up the kit. It all fit in the bed of my Toy Tacoma, with room to spare. I have a complete run down of the install process on the Maxi-Scoots forum:

I had traded a BMW K1100LT for the Silverwing a couple of years before I got the Danson. In retrospect, I think I would have been better off getting a Hannigan conversion for the BMW. But, all in all, I'm not dissatisfied with the Danson.
It sure does generate a lot of parking lot questions and conversation. The body work is pretty (and functional). If I were to go thru the hassle of trying to get Yelvington to sell me a kit, I'd have to add an additional $2800 or so for a Seatec kit to hide all of the ugly stuff. (this is my opinion folks).

| Jon,
Thanks for the input. 2 1/2 weeks now and still can't get an answer from Yelvington. I like the looks of the Danson. I think I'm going in that direction. I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks again.

| I got in a bit of trouble a while back when I took Trinity to task for being unresponsive. I see that the name change has not changed a damn thing.
I think you will be happy with the Danson kit. If you need any long distance help, feel free to call on me. I have had the dubious pleasure of installing two of them.

I emailed Online@YelvingtonTrikes.com and received a reply within 21 minutes Thank you for the heads up – yes, this is the correct email; I’m also having our IT Dept check the domain, fiirewalls, etc for any problems. |
