Hello all. I'm a late in life 2-wheel rider (57 this year). I decided to fulfill a life long dream of getting my motorcycle license when I was 55, and started with a Yamaha Vino for commuting to downtown Toronto, Ontario. Much as I loved the quickness of the Vino, the minute I sat on it I told my husband that I needed a bigger bike. The following year, we got a really good deal on a 2006 dealer demo, and my love affair with the S'wing started. I haven't made any modifications to it, although I may add heated handgrips at some point. Our riding season here has just started, and I've already done a solo ride of almost 400 kilometers- my husband rides a Kawasaki Meanstreak but I can't always wait for him. Janice

Janice..good post. "I can't always wait for him"... For awhile my husband had a 150 and I had a 250 and he was always falling back on the hills. The new Silverwing rides like a dream. I want to take my bike to my dad's cottage this summer between Erie and Buffalo. I love the Niagara on the Lake area. I bet you have some great countryside to ride. Welcome aboard the site.

Welcome. I've had my Swing for one day and it's been borrowed twice by my family (husband rides a Concours, son a ZX14). They both say it goes up to 90 easily. Haven't done that yet. One of the perks of being over 50 is that (usually) the insurance costs less. Of course, with 5 bikes in the garage, I'm on a first-name basis with our agent :-).
