On-line Chat

Hi,

One nice feature of this site is the ability to chat on-line with one another. If there are members on-line please just go to the bottom of the Main Page and hit the Log-in link. The Chat Box will then be available to you to chat On-line. You first must be logged in to the site first though. If you have any questions please just drop me a line.

Jeff this is a nice feature, but it doesn't really get much use. Wonder why?

probably because there are seldom more than one of online at any given time.
I've tried to initiate a chat once, but got no response.

I've had a few chats and it was cool but there are usually only about 3-5 people on line at at time and they are usually looking around and probably don't know if others are here. Maybe when riding season starts for everyone, more will be here at the same time and we can chat about our rides.

Usually the person on the forum asking a question I would answer has logged off the forum by the time I've logged on.

Also there is, if I'm not mistaken, a delay in the updates of when a person is on the forum. It might show who has been active, for instance over the past 5 minutes, and get updated every 5 minutes. In the meantime the person you are asking to chat with has left the board 4 minutes ago.

I have found most forum chat rooms to be quiet. The exception being the UK Suzuki owners club on a Sunday night when they have an on line quiz! Works for them as they have a massive membership.
