| Will I notice a big difference between these two? I've heard 22g weights can often make the v belt light go on. But I'm looking for max pick up. |

| I have been running the 22g sliders for almost a year and my V belt light has never gone on. Yes, the accelleration is noticibly better. |

Noticeably better than the 24g sliders? Or some other weight/type slider? |

| I had the 26g sliders before the 22 g. Both are better than stock, but the 22g are much better. |

Can you describe "better"? What improvements did you see? |

| After coming off a worn out J Costa, I was rather disappointed with the 24g sliders. Felt very sluggish. I had purchased 21g sliders at same time and switched to them and was fairly pleased. Not as nice as JC, but decent acceleration.
I posted about it on advrider. I am FoldArt over there.

I suggest you go 22g or lighter. |

| Hi,
I will change my sliders during my next revision (24.000 kms or 15.000 miles) I think buy 22g Dr Pulley but I have to know the top speed with 22g : is it still 110 mph / 180kmh ?

| I used to have the J Costa variator and it was pretty quick. The 22g sliders are fairly close to the J Costa in quickness, but not quite as quick. I am a large rider and I have a large Givi windshield, and 42L topcase on my bike. I also live at an elevation of 5,800 feet above sea level. I can still push the speedometer to 113mph and with a bit more room it might hit 115(indicated), so the actual speed is probably between 105 to 108 or so. If you ride in Paris, you should be able to hit 110mph (given enough room to air it out). |

| I switched from stock, to the 24 gram sliders along with a belt change. I notice a little better accel, but mostly I see lower RPM at the same speeds as before, and a smoother ride (mirrors don't shake as much). I'm probably close to 250lbs with all my gear on, so I never expected jack rabbit starts, etc. I've never cared about MPG, hence I can't comment on that aspect of the mod. |

| @rod_H: different weight of rollers/sliders won't affect top speed, only acceleration. The CVT shift 'endless gears' from 2.10:1 to 0.85:1 |

My 28 grs Pulleys did affect the top speed .With OEMs my rev limiter hits on 110 mph. With drPulleys 122 mph with no rev limiter |

| yes, different weight of sliders affect acceleration
but it also affects top speed : with dr. pulley you can see that rpm decrease from a certain speed (> 68mph) and it is similar with jcosta.
Thanks for you feedback, so I will head to 22g |

| My head "shopped" onto the daredevil riding the bike on the wire. We had a photo contest at work a few years ago where folks would show themselves doing something adventurous, and I'm not. The Google images of me were less than flattering, so I re-used it here. I'm about 230, but my leather jacket, armor under the jacket, armor under the pants, kevlar jeans, steel toe boots, armored gloves, modular helmet, and cash to buy gas and snacks add the rest of the weight. |
