| Greetings all, airblair from sunny northeast FL here. Got a question about slider/roller weights. I bought a set from Bike Bandit (OEM) to go along with replacing the V Belt. I am under the impression from Honda that OEM slider/roller weights weigh 27 or 28 grams each, but when I put the new ones on a scale, they weighed in at 35 grams each (weighed each one 3 different times). I put the new belt on and while I had the sliders out for cleaning I weighed them as well and they were in fact 27-28 grams each. My question is what would happen if I put the 35 gram weights in? I did not try the new ones because I'm going to return them. Anyone ever tried 35 gram weights? |

| You'll get lousey accelleration but great fuel ecomony.
35 gm weights are OEM for Japan Domestic Market Silverwings, not for US or Euro spec SW.
IMHO you should return those 35 gm rollers because they are not the correct part for your SW. Get the 28 gm OEM rollers, or better yet, get Dr Pulley Sliding weights

| Thanks for the info Tim, I was not aware of the Japan market Silverwings using those weights. I just knew that they were not the right one's for my bike and was curious what they would do if installed in mine. The current OEM 28 grams give me good acceleration and about 50 MPG but may just try the Dr Pulley sliders, have been reading a lot of good comments about them. Thanks again for your time in answering my question Tim, it is much appreciated .

| A good starting point is Dr Pulleys 28 grams. They behave better than OEMs.Better acceleration from 0 to mid speed and lower rpms at top speed. Then ...for even better acc ,you can lighten them evenly up to 6 grams(each) with a drill |
