| I've had my SWing for all of a week now, and I find myself looking for any opportunity to ride. "Oh, my mother in law needs computer help? Count me in!!"
I told my wife yesterday that I was going through withdrawals because I had gone two whole days without riding, and was possibly looking at two more.
I'm at the office today, but I'm just waiting for the day to be over so I can get home and pull out my scoot.
Is this normal? Kinda feels like one of those, "If this is wrong, I don't wanna be right" kind of things. |

| You experience sounds like a perfectly normal response to Swing ownership. |

Trying to avoid riding in the rain (for now), plus I often have to pick up my two kids from my wife's office, and I can't do that on my scoot. But it's OK; I'm about to go get my fix for the day... |

| I know how you feel. I bought mine to ride to work to save money on gas and miles on the car since I have been working 7 days a week for a while. The more I rode, the more I realized I liked it. It is therapy on 2 wheels, I ride mine whenever I don't have to take the car. |

| Chris I have had my 09 silverwing for a week now, and like you I have a need to ride. I have had a few bike, but when I got my Reflex I new I would need a Silverwing someday. I have been on this site for a few years reading and learning. I live in Damascus, hope to meet you someday and ride. Ritch |

Ritch Well whaddya know--another Oregonian! Got some friends who live out there too, about a mile off the 212. Nice area, as yet untouched by the urban sprawl. Some fun roads to ride too, I'm sure. - Darkeswinger wrote:

Very comforting. My father-in-law (a Harley man through and through) has been riding since '63, and I think he still enjoys it as much as I do. |

| Once you get on two wheels, seems that's what is calling you ALL THE TIME!! I am grounded for a few days due to heart surgery (yes, only a few days!) and I miss it already!! I REALLY miss my Swing (crashed last year) but any two wheels is a good two wheels! |

| I just got my first powered two-wheeler in April - 2009 Silverwing (bought it from a little old lady, really!). I'm a 66yo grandfather of 9, and just completed the MSF Basic Rider Course for my cycle endorsement.
I am doing a scoo-mute to work of about 25 miles one way - I'm still working - and so far I haven't missed a day, and when I get home I have to go out and ride for the fun of it! There's a couple twisty places on the way to work and I find myself laughing out loud at the exhilaration of it all! 2200 miles so far and lovin' it! ':lol!:' Hating the thought of Wisconsin winter! Wish I had done this long ago, but then there weren't these cool scooters to ride.
Oh, and the gas savings are nice too. |

Chris: I don't think there will be any "waining." Once the bug has bitten, well ... it's like a 'chigger', it gets under your skin. I'm 72 and loving my 2002 SWing w/Danson trike more and more each day. Just got it last Tuesday (6/26). I've had two wheel conveyances for half a century. Homer |
