| Moderator's hat on:
Doubtless most 'new' members are aware of Forum Etiquette, Rule #1 being to post a message of Introduction in the section labelled 'Introductions'. All the forums of which I am a member have that section.
Established members find it very irritating when that courtesy is ignored in favour of a demand for information from the wealth of knowledge accumulated, sometimes over several years, and express the irritation in a forthright manner.
It behoveth the miscreant to offer an apology, not express indignation at having the error of his ways pointed out.
That is the way of things here; no-one is obliged to stay if he doesn't agree with it. |
