| Since the mid-sixties, two-wheeled Britain was divided into two kinds of motorcyclists: Mods and Rockers. The mods were fashion-aware 'gents' that rode scooters, the rockers were leather-dressed bikers that invented the café-race. Up till the dawn of the big motor-scooter, the classification was easy. But what to do with owners of a Honda Silverwing, a Suzuki Burgman, a Yamaha Majesty, or -a little more exotic- a Gilera GP800??? Are they Mods or Rockers or do we need to invent an new terminology??? 'Mocker', 'Modder', 'Swinger' are allready taken   |
