Really enjoyed the Val Mara video, very steep and sharp hairpins.

Nice video and some excellent (single-handed) filming!
A pity for you that there were so many cars on the road.

This video only proves that one doesn't have to cross the big pond to discover some breath taking sceneries.

(Long) before the Top Gear team ended up in the Alps, claiming the Stelvio Pass as the most beautiful road in the world, I was fortunate enough to drive it up in a 'topless' car (a tiny 1300cc Suzuki Swift Cabrio - in the USA known as the 'Geo'). The 48 (numbered !) hairpin turns were fun, but on the way over there I had to cross the 'Ofen Pass' (Passo del Forno) in CH, where there was still plenty of snow - in july- and where the scenery was even more breathtaking than on the Stelvio itself.

And on the way to ... Monza I have done the Sankt Gothard Pass (on motorbike) and -with a little bit of a detour- the Julier Pass. I particularly remember the Gothard in the snow in July ... 1979. Quite a handfull on a fully packed motorbike.

Yes, I do live in Western Flanders, very near to the French border.

That is why I make 'a lot' of my trips in Northern France: more open spaces & less traffic than over there.
