| Hi Gary, Just ordered a sheep skin seat cover for my 2008 in charcoal gray. It was on sale for only $31.47 what a great deal. It was the large 18" x 18" Thanks for the great thread. That dark Charcoal gray color is going to look great on that dark gray scooter of mine. Thank's again, DennisB |

| Thanks Bill... I forgot to mention that. Even with the discount code, I paid more than that dang Dennis did. He must have some deep connections to sheep harvesters. Gary |

| That does look really comfortable. I got a bead seat a few years ago and just love it. I like that air flowing through so you don't end up with damp jeans at your destination. |

I have had no problem with "damp" spots with the Alaskan Sheepskin even with long distances. |

| Stupid search engines with their doggone boolean search strings! What did you search for "bead seat motorcycle"? |

| OOOO those dang search engines, and their crafty method of finding useful information.
Folks I'm kidding. Sometimes the obvious gets away from us. and trust me I know that it is easier to get the information from someone else if they have it readily at their fingertips, but sometimes a search is a good thing.
We should probably capture all of this parts stuff in one location... I'll have to ponder that for a bit. |

| Dennis, Do you have any trouble keeping your sheepskin in place? I find that mine moves around a bit. Also, what kind of seat do you have on your swing? Mandy |

| Mandy... I have two skins on my bike. The passenger one has a tendency to ride up in the front when I ride alone. The wind curls up the front edge and it rides up from that. I have not noticed any shifting for the one I sit on. However, with my weight on it, it couldn't move very much. Poor little sheep....

| I only have the one, and I find that it shifts a bit when I stop. I feel like it's creeping down towards the front. |

| Hi Mandy,
Now that I have sat on it a few miles. I have noticed it get a cress across the top from side to side where the straps attach. I find this to be a little bit of an anoyance. I whish they would have put more straps on it.

| Hi Dennis. I agree, that's what I was thinking! And I was trying to figure out how to fix it. I can't really envision putting one strap front to back, but perhaps some 1 inch elastic running from the right and left front sides that meet in the middle and go to the right and left back sides.
Make sense? I'm going to try to draw a picture to see what you think.

| One thing that I would like for the skin to have changed is that the strap for the passenger skin is very short on one side. It rubs the hand rail when closing the seat. I have to help guide it past the rail. Not a real biggy, but aggravating. They could have the take up receiver strap just a tad longer to get it out of the way.
Dennis/Mandy does yours have a single strap? I see you illustration shows that... if your picture is accurate, your strap is designed different from mine. Mine latches right at the edge of the seat, not in the middle as you show.
I am considering a very short strip of velcro to hold the passenger skin down when the missis is not aboard.

| I wasn't looking at my seat when I drew the picture, so I'll have to confirm where the strap is exactly. |

| What I was thinking of doing is sewing a 1" wide nylon strap to the top/back of the cover as a loop that fits around the back rest post on the Corbin seat. This should keet the cover from sliding down and also act as a anti theift device. I'll give it a try when I get back from Eureka Springs. |

For the driver with Alaskan Sheepskin, if you put the belt in front of the gas strut there was nothing to prevent the sheepskin from sliding forward. If you put the belt behind the gas strut and snug the two clips ... I found that the sheepskin did not move much. |
