| For those who know about darts, the phrase 'one hundred and eighty' is the ultimate one, usually shouted in delight.
I took my SWing out for a ride this afternoon, and rode her to the 'caps' in Northern France (about 50 Miles from where I live)
It was chilly (7°C = 44°F), but dry, although quite windy. (5 Bft) Despite the head-on breeze, the little Honda purred me to Calais at a steady 130 Kph. (80 Mph)
After riding my favourite stretch along the coast -with a view to kill for- we went back on the motorway and had the wind pushing in the back.
Before I knew, I was doing well over 150 Kph (93 Mph) and in 'no-man's land' (between the French-Belgian border and the first exit) I briefly gunned it, hitting the magical "180" with less than full-throttle! (180 Kph = 112 Mph)
I can assure you that '180' is more exciting on a Silverwing, than in a pub, throwing little arrows ;-) |

| I too did about 50 miles yesterday.
Nice day on the south coast. (It was dry). First time in a few weeks.
I used the ride to free up the grey cells. I lost my Kindle, (put it down somewhere and forget where I left it), after the ride came back and put my hands straight on it. |

| Did you lose the page you were on? Hoping it is not icy in the morning cos I'm working in Romsey for the day - that'll be a 50 mile round trip. |

| I put 90+ miles or 148 KM on my SWing yesterday! But here in Arizona the temps were in the 71F or 22C range. In fact i switched from my winter jacket to my mesh-armor jacket for the ride!!! Plus averaged almost 55 MPG. |

| No ice, temp was +3 or so, but the winds were gusting to about 30mph from the north, which made it interesting on the exposed sections.
Glenn - is that 55mpg - US gallons? |

Glenn - is that 55mpg - US gallons? Yes it is. For some reason this 2012 does very well on fuel economy. It probably averages in the 53-55 range had a couple of tanks at 58. Lowest was about 48. |

| I've just returned 58 mpg Imperial (UK) on a reasonable few days commuting in traffic. I'm gonna have to do a gentle cruise up the motorway (freeway) to Basingstoke tomorrow to see if I can improve. (about 90mile roundtrip) - I reckon your 55US is worth 66UK.
That's real good! |
